The H&K Socom MK23 is a renowned gun in the airsoft world. Made famous by Tokyo Marui, this non-blowback design became synonmous with sniping due to its whisper quiet noise profile, as well as its impressive range and accuracy. Many companies released clone versions of it, and famed Social Media sniper Novritsch has thrown his own hat into the ring with the SSX23
Starting with the basics - it is a large gun. Holster wise, you are quite limited. Still, it is not uncomfortable in the hand, but just be aware of its...girth.
This variant is OEM`d by STTI, and is pre-upgraded to give enhanced performance putting it in the same ballpark as the renowned Tokyo Marui. Its top-down hop up adjustment (without disassembly) is one of the big differences, and to be fair that is worth it alone. It also comes equipped with a metal slide, making it feel more realistic. Given the 6.02mm tightbore barrel as well, you can see why it has become so popular!
As a gas powered non-blowback gun, you will need to use 130 PSI gas for best performance. The cold will affect it, but because it`s non-blowback, nowhere near the same extent as blowback guns.
Unusually for non-blowback pistols, the slide on this can move. You can rack it back to give you a single action trigger pull, which is a nice touch.
