WHAT IS A SIGHTING COMPASS?
Identical to a baseplate compass, this type of compass has a sighting glass for reading the compass and viewing the target to be reached.This model has a protective casing to protect the compass during intensive activities.
MAKE SURE THE COMPASS IS FLAT WHEN USING IT:
Your compass must be flat to detect magnetic north correctly. For example, place your compass in the palm of your hand. When using a map, place the compass on the map on a flat surface.
WHAT IF YOUR COMPASS LOSES ITS BEARINGS?
