The Jules story began when founder Julie discovered crafts at a very young age, spending hours making things out of paper, and later moving onto more artistic skills to include calligraphy, screen printing and oil painting.
Julie's family history is steeped in a 30 year jewellery making tradition including manufacturing fine gold and diamond pieces and later opening a retail store.
Julie gained plenty of experience in the family business throughout her younger years but was not quite ready to embark on her own so she figured that a solid college education in finance and business would be helpful. It was, and having worked for several years in the stock-broking and banking industries she returned to her roots in 2003 after a long period of travel.
Initially working on a contemporary line of jewellery using luscious semi-precious stones including lapis and turquoise she gradually moved on to using freshwater pearls, thus began the natural progression towards her first wedding jewellery line a number of years later. The wedding hair adornment collection quickly followed, to much acclaim.
